Welcome - About me
Hello, this is Muge Yang, a brand new site that's just getting started. Things will be up and running here shortly, but you can subscribe in the meantime if you'd like to stay up to date and receive emails when new content is published!
A little intro of myself:
Welcome to this unique, private, and utopian space between us.
Trained in Comparative Literature and Gender Studies, I like to write poetry, micro stories, prose, and fiction in English and (sometimes) Chinese or Dutch as a hobby and would love to share on this platform with like-minded people.
My friendship with writing began in the winter of 2006; it was a cold winter when I wanted to escape from reality and create a warmer space that belonged to me. During my academic career, I have presented a few essays about feminist philosophy and trans/queer studies at international conferences in Europe. Because of this, I love working with theories that bring inspiration, and hopefully, to you too.
There is one golden logic for all my writings - I work with/through feminism. I believe that via the gentle and powerful lens of feminism, there can be love and possibility.
The genres I am interested in are often queer, posthuman, and decolonialism. By queer, I meant anti/de-heteronormativity, anything that lingers/intervenes beyond/in the norm and canon. By posthuman, I do not mean more than/transhuman, but the micro-macro-intra-activities that happen daily; nonetheless, we don't normally notice. And certainly, I am here to retell some stories and wish to reshape some identities.
I like to manipulate grammar and not too fond of rules or punctuation.
Every bit of support gives me motivation! Thank you so much for being here or stopping by!
